As a certified CEO Advantage™ advisor, Jim serves as a business advisor who helps CEOs and executive teams create smart, healthy organizations that achieve great results.

Jim has 28 years of executive experience in the machine tool industry, including 11 years as President and CEO of Ann Arbor Machine Company during which he used the CEO Advantage process with his team. After negotiating the company’s sale to private investors in 2005, Jim remained as CEO until his retirement in 2008.

Jim is Founder and Managing Director of The Great Lakes Advisory Center, a leadership group dedicated to helping business owners and non-profits leverage the skills of an outside advisory council to improve their organizations’ performance.

Jim serves on numerous boards, including the Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital System Board of Trustees and the Chelsea-area Health and Wellness Foundation Board of Trustees. He is the former chair of the Chelsea Community Hospital Board of Trustees.

Jim holds a degree in Business Management from Eastern Michigan University and is a graduate of the Michigan Health and Hospital Association’s Excellence in Governance Fellowship.

Jim and his wife, Sharon, have two adult children and reside in Dexter, Michigan.
